T2 TRIATHLETE IM TALK AGE GROUP ATHLETE OF THE MONTH
Congratulations to London-based T2 and Thames Turbo Powerbar athlete, Liz Pinches who was nominated and choosen for IM Talks Age Grouper of the Month (episode 306). IM Talk is an online podcast talkshow about “all things ironman” & has a cult following of triathletes around the world including its native New Zealand.
Liz was nominated for the award following a fantastic start to the season with 3rd place at the Abu Dhabi Triathlon (Short Course) (report here). This followed hip surgery on a hip labral tear that ruled her out of most of 2011 and required a serious rehabilitation programme to get back to racing let alone podium performances.
T2 Coach Tom said “its great that the IM Talk guys have recognized the journey that Liz has made to get back to racing at a high level and the dedication she shows to both her rehabilitation and training on a daily basis.”

T2COACHING TRIATHLETE 3RD AT ABU DHABI TRIATHLON
T2Coaching and Thames Turbo PowerBar Race Team London based Liz Pinches claimed third place at the Abu Dhabi International Triathlon on Saturday 3rd March completing the course in 4:01.33. The short course race format consisted of a 1.5km swim, 100km bike and 10k run. Liz said “I was really pleased with a 9 minute improvement from last year. This is a great race, the best part of which was racing the bike on the Formula 1 course at Yas Marina. Liz prepared for the race by spending time in the heat chamber at St Mary’s University College, London. Liz is supported by Powerbar UK, 2XU, Profeet,TheTriTouch and the Sporting Brain.
